Hi, today I write about Paulo Freire, a education theorist.
I don't study education directly, in psychology have a area
related with education, educational psycology, where this educator is one
of the greatest theorist of area.
Paulo Freire was born in Brazil in 1921, he suffered
the recession of '29 and knew the poverty, as far as forged his
educative perspective in relation this reality.
Freire enrolled in law school in the University of
Recife 1934, but he never practiced law, because he preferred work of teacher
in few school teaching Portuguese. when begun create his liberation theology.
In the Brazil's dictatorship Freire is exiled and he lived in Bolivia. In 1967
Freire publish "the education as practice of liberty" and in 1970
"Pedagogy of opressed". Freire died of heart failure in 1997 in
Sao Paulo.
Freire worked for the new pedagogy, the critic pedagogy, that hope build
society for the educators and students from the conscience of the social
problems.
I like from him is him experience life as person and as teacher in the
favelas from Brazil, and liberation theology him that set out a new education.
as well as the he critic the traditional pedagogy, in which the student was
viewed as an empty account to be filled by the teacher.
that consider the students as a container that receive information.
Paulo Freire changed the form as is consider the education in the
contemporaneous world, so economized , created new forms of understand the
education and the pedagogy.
